All I Need Is a Single Touch From You
There are moments in life when the weight of what we are facing can make us wonder if God hears us. We pray, we wait, and sometimes the answer does not come as quickly as we hoped.
But even on your hardest days, God is with you. He hears your prayers.
Faith sometimes requires patience - trusting God even when you cannot yet see what He is doing. A single touch from God can bring comfort in sorrow, peace in uncertainty, and strength when you feel you have none left.
Take a moment today to remember the times God has carried you, comforted you, and made a way for you. If God has been good to you, don't allow the day to pass without simply saying, “Thank You.”
A Thought to Carry With You: Sometimes you don't need everything to change - you just need a touch from God to help you keep going.

Fear Not, God Is With You

Isaiah 41:10
There are moments when fear comes simply because we cannot see what is ahead. We may not know how a situation will turn out, where the answer will come from, or whether we have the strength to face what is before us.
Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that God does not promise we will never encounter difficult circumstances. Instead, He promises His presence in the midst of them.
When your own strength feels insufficient, remember the rest of the promise: “I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.”
Faith doesn't always mean knowing what comes next. Sometimes faith is simply knowing who goes with you.

A New School Year

As we begin a new school year, there may be a lot on our minds - new teachers, classes, friends, harder work, and new expectations. Some of us are excited, while others may be nervous about what lies ahead.
But no matter what classroom we walk into, remember one thing: we never walk in alone.
School teaches us many things, but some of our greatest lessons won't come from textbooks. We'll learn patience, how to handle disappointment, how to make good choices, and how to keep going when things get difficult.
This year, don't only ask God for good grades. Ask Him for wisdom when making decisions, courage when you're afraid, kindness toward others, strength when you feel like giving up, and confidence to be exactly who He created you to be.
You don't have to know everything this school year will bring. Just trust God - one day, one assignment, one test, and one challenge at a time.
God goes with you.
The Story - The First Test
Marcus had been looking forward to the new school year. He liked his teachers, had already made a few new friends, and promised himself he was going to do his best.
Then came his first big test.
Marcus studied, but when his teacher returned the papers, the grade wasn't what he expected. He looked around and saw classmates smiling at their grades. Suddenly, all the confidence he had at the beginning of the year disappeared.
“I guess I'm just not good at this,” he thought.
That evening, Marcus told his grandmother what happened. She listened and asked: “Did you fail, or did you find out what you still need to learn?”
Marcus hadn't thought about it that way. Instead of giving up, he reviewed the questions he missed, asked his teacher for help, and studied differently for the next test. His next grade was better.
One difficult moment didn't get to decide what the rest of his year would become.
The Lesson
A new school year won't always go exactly as planned. There may be difficult assignments, disappointing grades, friendship problems, or moments when you question yourself.
That's when Deuce's reminder becomes important: trust God one day, one assignment, one test, and one challenge at a time.
A setback is not the end of your story. Sometimes it simply shows you where you need to grow.
Your Turn
- What is one thing you're excited about?
- What is one thing you're worried about?
- When something becomes difficult, who can you ask for help?
- What is one thing you can do instead of giving up?
- What are you asking God to help you with this school year?
Fall Scripture Calendar
September 2026
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is confidence in what we do not see. Ordinary, flawed people like Abraham, Sarah and Noah trusted God's promises through extreme trials. Their examples encourage believers to persevere through personal doubts, wait patiently on God's timeline, and live courageously as temporary residents in a changing world.
October 2026
Mark 8:36
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
If you get everything you want in life but ruin your relationship with God, you end up with nothing that lasts. Nothing but the Word will last.
November 2026
Ephesians 5:20
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Giving Thanks in Every Season: We should thank God in every season - through the good, the difficult, and the unexpected. Even when life takes a different direction than planned, we can continue giving thanks and acknowledging His presence.
Acknowledge God in everything, from the smallest blessings to the surprises we never expected. Give thanks always, in Jesus' name.
From the Apostle's Desk

Many are carrying things they were never meant to hold forever.
Pain, disappointment, betrayal - these things can settle deep within the heart.
But healing begins when you decide: “I will not carry this any longer.”
Release is not weakness - it is freedom.
